Planning and Reflecting with a Ten Frame Number Talk


These two first-grade teachers plan a visual number talk together using ten frames. After both try it out in their own classrooms, they reflect on the strategies that students used. Major themes of their discussion involve the use of a “quick look” and when to ask students to “turn-and-talk.”
