Mayte Frayre, a mother of three in Chicago’s Little Village, shares her experience with Erikson’s Roots Initiative and what it has meant for her family. For more than 15 years, Erikson has supported families through mental health assessment and counseling, and in 2025, deepened that commitment by shifting to workshops that meet parents, caregivers, and early childhood professionals where they are with practical tools, training, and care to support healing and well-being.’
